Dear Parishioners and friends,
Today we pray in gratitude for fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, and uncles; all who have showered and continue to shower us with fatherly care, concern, and example. God bless the fathers living and deceased.
Many thanks to our parishioners who came together to make last Sunday’s celebration of my 40th well attended. Both liturgies were beautiful. Music was outstanding. Thanks to all who planned, cleaned, and set up the gymnasium; those who donated and prepared the food, and of course the delicious baked goods. Visitors from outside the parish were very impressed to see so many young families and children. While I will remember many things about the celebration, I will never forget the couple originally from El Salvador that drove here from Virginia, or the gesture at the 12:30 PM Mass of a long line of children each bringing me a flower. Such simple things touch the heart and contribute to the positive experiences of the parish that our children have.
On to the next events. Dates for the picnic, flea market, and international festival are found on the second page of this bulletin. New this year is a money raffle that will take place at the flea market. Tickets are $5.00 each. First prize $500.00, second prize $300.00.

Queridos hermanos y hermanas:
Hoy le pedimos al Todopoderoso que bendiga todos los padres de familia, abuelos, padrinos, tíos, y todos aquellos que nos muestran cualidades paternales. Dios les bendiga a todos vivos y difuntos.
Mil gracias a todos que colaboraron de una L otra manera para la celebración del domingo pasado de mi aniversario 40 de ordenación sacerdotal. La Misa estuvo lindísima. Gracias a los del coro, a los de disciplina, y a los ministros del altar. Y gracias a todos que colaboraron con la recepción. Todo estuvo excelente. Algunos visitantes estaban impresionados con la cantidad de familias y niños. Dos cosas quedan muy grabadas en mi mente: una pareja que es de El Salvador vino desde Virginia para la celebración. Y algo que tocó mi corazón fue la procesión de niños trayéndome flores. Lindo gesto y experiencia positiva para ellos de la iglesia que tampoco olvidarán pronto.
Viene el flea market en agosto. Este año vamos a tener una rifa de dinero como parte de este evento. Tickets están disponible – $5.00 c/u. Primer premio: $500.00, segundo premio $300.00. De antemano agradezco su colaboración y ¡mucha suerte
