Our Lady of Lourdes Parish has been awarded a $175,000 grant from the National Fund for Historic Places. It is a matching grant. This means we have the challenge of raising $175,000 for this urgent project that will fund masonry repair and restoration of the church building. 16 August 2026 Pastor’s Column

Dear Parishioners and friends,

Thank you to all who helped to make our parish picnic last Saturday such a success!  The food was outstanding — thanks to all who worked so hard.  It was especially gratifying to see so many children enjoying themselves!  We have kept that event out of the fundraising dynamic—it is important to enjoy ourselves without pulling the wallet out!

The Flea Market, yes, is a fundraiser.  Hosted by the Hispanic Community, the net profit is simply from table rentals.  But the winnings are great in terms of building community—both sectors of the parish as well as some of our neighbors.  Of course, the food is a big factor in this!  Altar and Rosary is offering a basket raffle at the Flea Market and the Hispanic community is offering a money raffle. Thanks in advance for collaborating with these efforts!

Our International Festival is in October.  Please let us know if you will be donating prepared ethnic food … and it would be great to have a European folkloric presentation.  Any thoughts?

  • Altar and Rosary is hosting a DAY OF RECOLLECTION with St. John Nepomucene Parish Sunday, August 30th from 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM.  The day consists of Mass, Breakfast, Presentation, Rosary and Benediction.  Cost:  $16.00.  Reservations NEEDED by August 15. You do not have to be a member – everyone is welcome.  For more information please call Linda at 216.470.4986.

MINISTERIO HISPANO

16 de agosto de 2026

Queridos hermanos y hermanas:

VAMANOS!

Atentamente en Cristo, Revdo. Joseph Callahan
