REGIONAL PENANCE SERVICE Monday 31 March 7 PM St. John Nepomucene church (Fleet and E 49th St). Several priests for individual confessions.

Dear Parishioners and friends:
A reminder that tomorrow, March 31st we have our annual regional penance service at St. John Nepomucene parish at 7:00 PM. After a brief prayer service, five priests will be available for individual confessions. Please try to take advantage of this opportunity. Remember, we have confessions every Saturday 3:00 PM – 3:30 PM.
I want to ask you to kindly keep in your prayers the children, youth, and adults of our parish who are preparing to celebrate the sacraments of Confirmation and First Communion. Fifteen youth and adults will celebrate Confirmation on May 7th. Abbot Gary Hoover, OSB will administrate the sacrament at Holy Spirit parish in Garfield Heights. Sister Charlotte has diligently prepared our young people for this sacrament.
On the last two weekends in May, 30 children will receive First Communion. They recently made their first confession. I am grateful to their families, the team of catechists, and Sister Charlotte for preparing these children for this sacrament.
We are blessed to have such vibrancy in our parish. I am inspired by the families that give priority to the faith formation of their children.

Queridos hermanos y hermanas en Cristo,
Les pido que lleven en sus oraciones las personas de nuestra parroquia que se están preparando para celebrar sacramentos. Varios niños serán bautizados en las próximas semanas. Diez y cinco jóvenes y adultos van a ser confirmados el 7 de mayo en la parroquia “Holy Spirit”, Garfield Heights por el Abad Gary Hoover, OSB. Treinta niños van a celebrar su primera comunión en mayo. Felicitamos a estas personas, familias, las catechistas, y la Hermana Charlotte por prepáralos para celebrar los sacramentos.

REQUISITOS PARA BAUTIZAR
- Llenar la hoja de datos
- Traer copia del acta de nacimiento
- Traer copia del permiso del parroco si son de otra parroquia
- Participar en la platica pre-bautismal
- Seleccionar padrinos que son activos en la iglesia y comulgan con frecuencia porque pueden comulgar y entonces dan ejemplo para su ahijado
- Hablar con el Padre Jose para fijar la fecha del bautismo
