Dear Parishioners and friends,
I am very grateful to those that have made donations toward the matching grant that we received. This week, three parishioners (Joanne DelGreco, Ralph and Kelli Perk) will represent us at a meeting/workshop in Philadelphia sponsored by the National Fund for Sacred Places. They will inform our Finance Council on Monday, 24 November, about the plan for moving forward. Many of you have made great suggestions about this project and perhaps can offer to help in some capacity. If you would like to attend the meeting on Monday 24 November, please let me know. It will be at 7:00 PM on Zoom.
Thirty-nine years ago today six Jesuit priests, their housekeeper and her daughter were brutally murdered in the chaos and confusion of the civil war in El Salvador. Some analysts say that this horrible act forced the US government to rethink its funding of the Salvadoran military that was responsible for this crime as well as the massacre of countless others in the country, eventually leading the signing of peace accords in January 1992. May this anniversary of the martyrs inspire us to overcome polarization and deep division and to work towards unity and the common good.

PSR CLASSES children’s classes have begun. The next class is on Saturday, Nov 15, from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. You can still register your children for classes after the Sunday Masses or in the parish office on Saturday mornings.

Queridos hermanos y hermanas en Cristo,
Padre Ricardo Antall escribió: “En este año jubilar (cada 25 años) el papa otorga una indulgencia plenaria a cada fiel que hace una peregrinación. Los obispos pueden arreglar la misma bendición en cada diócesis. Entonces una peregrinación a la catedral de Cleveland, con confesión, comunión y arrepentimiento completo de los pecados ofrece es indulgencia plenaria, que es parte la purificación del alma de las consecuencias de sus faltas. Las almas en Purgatorio se purifican de esas consecuencias o daños causados por pecado personal. La confesión nos da perdón, la indulgencia es una bendición de purificación y reparación por medio de la gracia de la Iglesia. Las indulgencias pueden ser ofrecidas por uno mismo u también por las almas de personas difuntas.
Con otras parroquias, hemos conseguido una misa en español el día 29 de noviembre, un sábado, a las 11 a.m. Participando en la misa, con comunión y confesión dentro de ocho días y oración por las intenciones del Santo Padre para la Iglesia son los requisitos para recibir la indulgencia. Quiero que muchos de nosotros se aprovechen de la oportunidad.
Es una gran oportunidad y podemos compartir con otras comunidades.”

REQUISITOS PARA BAUTIZAR
1. Llenar la hoja de datos
2. Traer copia del acta de nacimiento
3. Traer copia del permiso del parroco si son de otra parroquia
4. Participar en la platica pre-bautismal
5. Seleccionar padrinos que son activos en la iglesia y comulgan con frecuencia.
6. Hablar con el Padre Jose para fijar la fecha del bautismo
