Our Lady of Lourdes has been awarded a $175,000 grant from the National Fund for Historic Places as described in the news article below. The grant is a matching grant. This means we have the challenge of raising $175,000 for this urgent project to fund masonry repair and restoration of the church building. Consider donating to help with this important project!!

Dear parishioners and friends,
Holy week was absolutely beautiful! It was great to see so many people participate Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter Sunday. So many people need to be thanked! The folks that cleaned the church. Our expert decorators (the church is beautiful). Our musicians and choirs (what a fantastic combined effort for Holy Thursday and Holy Saturday with bridges built between the two languages—very heartwarming!). Thanks to all of you for the extensive planning and practicing! Thanks to our ushers for keeping everything moving smoothly and for adapting to the rain Saturday night—it did not extinguish the Easter fire! Thanks to the lectors, Eucharistic ministers, and our servers for important service on the altar. Thanks to all who came, participated, thanks for your Easter donations and for donations to purchase the flowers.
May God continue to bless our parish during these 50 days of Easter!

Queridos hermanos y hermanas:
!Mil gracias a todas la personas que colaboraron de una manera u otra para las celebraciones de la semana santa! Todo salió muy bien—muy organizado, con la participación de mas y mas gente. Gracias a los que limpiaron el templo, los que lo decoraron, los músicos y coros (en especial jueves santo y sábado santo con el esfuerzo de cantar el los dos idiomas!), el equipo de disciplina, los lectores, ministros de la Eucaristía, y los monaguillos. Y a toda la gente que asistió a las celebraciones.
Que dios siga bendiciéndonos en estos 50 días de la Pascua.

LAS CLASES DE LA DOCTRINA : La próxima clase es el sábado, 25 de abril, de 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
LAS CLASES DE CONFIRMACION la próxima es domingo 26 de abril a las 2:15 – 4:15 p.m. en las aulas del sótano de la casa parroquial.
REQUISITOS PARA BAUTIZAR
1. Llenar la hoja de datos
2. Traer copia del acta de nacimiento
3. Traer copia del permiso del parroco si son de otra parroquia
4. Participar en la platica pre-bautismal
5. Seleccionar padrinos que son activos en la iglesia y comulgan con frecuencia.
6. Hablar con el Padre Jose para fijar la fecha del bautismo
